I was biten by puces during the stay !
My room was clean & the hotel is in an amazing location, and it was worth the little money I paid. If you're going for 1 day only, it's a good value.
My room wasn't ready by the time I was supposed to check in, also construction made a lot of noise, and to top it all off, we didn't have running water until the late afternoon.
The location was 2 and 1/2 blocks from major Hollywood attractions. The price was reasonable compared to others. Free parking. There was a fridge in the room.
A bit scarey. Older oddly shaped building with just a few rooms. The rooms are old and very small. There is an interior hallway but no doors on the ends of the hall so anyone can walk by the room at any hour. This is kind of the rougher area of Hollywood so travelers should be prepared. We walked 2 blocks to 7/11 and there was a homeless man literally laying across the sidewalk. Hollywood High School is across the street which is also where there appears to be a congregation of homeless on the lawn of the school. I was glad the door was a metal door, but wished it had a security chain on it as well as the regular lock.
The location was great. Toilet was fast running, the tv had a few good cable channels, and there was a working mini refrigerator in the room. Free wifi was provided and a complementary breakfast was offered at the neighboring hotel.
Our room (212) was seemingly an afterthought addition to the hotel. It was located outside of the actual building at the top of the stairwell entrance. The room was uncomfortably small with broken curtain rods, a stiff mattress, dingy wallpaper, and a cubicle of a bathroom. I would have paid $40-$45 for a one night stay at this hotel. Quite frankly, Budget Inn Hollywood could be a bit more of a budget. The location is prime but the price per night is a bit delusional for what it actually presents to its customers.
We had to spend a night in order get to a meeting point at Plummer park in the morning. So, the location of this hotel and the price are quite acceptable.
The girl at reception was not good at math when calculating the change that she had to give us back.
The sheet were nice and clean.
The clerk was unfriendly and was more worried about going back to sleep. Offered no help when asked, nor bothered to direct to someone or someplace outside of the hotel where I could get help. The key did not work and I had no option but carrying things downstairs from the back of the building to his office, where he looked sleepy and unhappy about being woken up twice in the same night. I had to continue talking to him to troubleshoot the problem.
We were in Rm 212, room size is perfect. Staff pleasant and the parking is great.
Advantages: Hotel location - it's literally 5 minutes walk from the Walk of Fame on Hollywood blvd.
I was prepared for the disadvantages, for this price you will not find any accommodation so close to the center of Hollywood. The room was small, smelled like by the dentist (well, still better, than some stinky stuff). The toilet was impossible to sit on, the bathroom was so small. However, we booked it to have a place to sleep, while we are in Hollywood, for this purpose it was just ok.
The location was good if you don't mind cars drivin past on sunset blvd all night.
Hot water wasn't really hot.
For the price you pay, the location is perfect and the room is ok. Breakfast is also fine.
Everything was more than enough for the price paid.
The location was great.
The lady receptionist was not friendly and loudly spoke at times
Only good thing about this hotel is the location. Very close to Hollywood Boulevard, and still kind of cheap.
The wi-fi wasn't working the first two days of our stay. The staff weren't able to help us.
. The good things were that the room we had we could look out window at the back parking lot to keep an eye on our car. We loved the location, right on the strip close to everything. Great water pressure in shower. It was quiet but it was an older motel. Price was great for location if your basically just looking for a place to sleep after your event
Room was really tiny, pillows small and bed not really comfortable, but the price made it well worth it
It was close to Hollywood and Metro station
Value for money
The beds and the continental breakfast
The clerk and manager we're very rude and condescending. I have stayed here numerous times before and things were good, but this five day stay the managers who are usually there were on vacation and ether replacements were augmentative and rude. I wont stay there again. Book elsewhere! :-(
